Sensory-Friendly Play Thursdays at Hümanette: A Calmer Way to Play

At Hümanette, we know that every child deserves a play experience that feels safe, welcoming, and just right for them. That’s why we’re introducing Sensory-Friendly Play Thursdays—a thoughtfully designed play session for children who experience sensory sensitivities, whether due to Autism, sensory processing disorders, or any other reason.

Starting April 10, every Thursday from 1–3 PM, we’ll be making small but meaningful adjustments to create a more soothing environment where kids can explore, engage, and play—without sensory overload.

What to Expect:

No loud music – A quieter, more peaceful space to play.

Dimmed lighting – Soft, calming light for a more comfortable experience.

Limited capacity – Fewer children means less noise and more room to explore.

Fine-tuning the play environment in these ways helps children feel more comfortable, confident, and engaged. Whether your little one thrives in a quieter setting or simply needs a break from the usual hustle and bustle, Sensory-Friendly Play Thursdays provide a space where they can truly enjoy play—on their own terms.

This special session is included with Open Play, but because we’re limiting the number of children in our space, we highly recommend reserving your spot in advance.

We can’t wait to welcome families who need a little extra calm in their play experience.🤍
